Edna Karolina Drees was the second child born to Gustav and Mary Drees.

Edna married Victor Jordening in 1937, who was a Lutheran Pastor one year out of the Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. Victor led several parishes during the course of his ministry - all of them in Nebraska. These churches included: Immanuel Lutheran in Litchfield and Trinity Lutheran in Hazard (1937-1941), Trinity Lutheran in Jansen (1941-1946), Centennial Lutheran in Superior (1946-1957), Zion Lutheran in Red Cloud (1946-1947) and Trinity Lutheran in Lexington (1957-1977). During these years he also served on several advisory, cooperation and education boards for the Lutheran Church.

Edna and Victor had six children between 1938 and 1955.

After retiring as the pastor for Trinity Lutheran in Lexington, Victor and Edna moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where Victor was the Worship Coordinator for the Lutheran Mid-South District. In 1982, Victor and Edna returned to Lexington, Nebraska.

Edna died on August 17th, 1994 at the age of 79 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington, Nebraska.
