Heinrich and Mary Bringewatt, 1907

Heinrich August Bringewatt was only a year old when his family immigrated to America, arriving in New York City on May 19, 1883.

The Bringewatt family lived in Pemberville, Ohio from 1883 to 1891. From there they moved to Clatonia, Nebraska.

It is not known how or when the Bringewatts family met the Drees family, but in 1903, Henry (August's brother) married Anne Drees. The Bringewatt's moved to Daykin, where the Drees' lived, the following year. In 1905, August's sister, Minnie, married Herman Drees. And in 1907, August married Mary Drees.

August was farming in Thayer County, Nebraska at the time of the 1910 Census and in Saline County ten years later. Sometime around 1923, August moved to Garden City, Kansas. August and Mary had seven children. Mary died in 1926 - their youngest child was only one at the time.
